Fare City and our project partners worked with London’s Maltby Street Market as part of a year-long grant-funded project, to help its traders to improve both the sustainability and accessibility of their operations. The project aimed to demonstrate that a working market can viably decarbonise its complex supply chains, reduce its contribution to local air pollution, and create a more accessible, equitable and sustainable market experience for the benefit of traders, attendees, and the local community.

The Cleaner Air Market report film sets out how the project team trialled the pilot at Maltby Street, while recommending how further Cleaner Air Markets could be established.
